One day after Austin Petersonís no-hitter, Chris Torres nearly matched the performance.

Anthony Kurek started the scoring in the first with a double and crossed the plate after a pair of passed balls. Torres helped himself in the second with an RBI single that scored Tommy Benson.

The lead grew to 3-0 in the third when Owen Hallas scored on a ground ball off the bat of Brett Roeske was misplayed in the field.

Benson singled in the fourth to score Eric Ralph and Patrick Sosby and the Trojans added four more runs in the sixth to set the final score. Torres doubled to score Sosby and Drew Vesling ahead of RBI singles by Ethan Conway and Kurek.

Chesterton returns to the field on Friday when they host Highland with the first pitch scheduled for 7 p.m.
