Pak sets school record on Bars; No. 1 Trojans post 113-plus again

Mia Pak canít get much better.

Pak broke her own school record (9.90) on the Bars with a 9.95 and helped lead the No. 1 Chesterton gymnastics team to a 113.075-88.925 victory over Lowell on Thursday.

Caitlyn Cook was the other individual event winner for the Trojans with a 9.525 on Floor.

Runners-up for CHS included Sophie Hunzelman on Beam (9.60), Belle Marchetti on Floor (9.30) and Pak on Vault (9.625).

Chestertonís Chloe Larson finished second in the All-Around (35.725) to South Centralís Makenna King (37.225).

The Trojans return to competition on Tuesday when they travel to Michigan City for a 6 p.m. start.

Individual event winners for the Chesterton JV against Lowell on Thursday included Madelynn Chestovich on Beam (7.425), Kenzie Sharp on Floor (8.85) and Paris Zubeck on Vault (8.15).
