No. 4 CHS Boys volleyball wins three times

The No. 4 Chesterton boys volleyball team went 3-1 on the final weekend of the regular season at the Miller Classic in Noblesville.

In the opening match of the tournament, the Trojans beat Hamilton Southeastern 25-16, 25-14 as Andrew Urycki (6 kills, 6 blocks), Kody Wilkerson (5 kills), Andrew Zimmerman (4 kills, 4 blocks) and Ben Raffin (3 aces) led the way.

In the second match, CHS defeated Guerin Catholic 25-23, 25-20 with Zimmerman (6 kills), Nick Mullen (5 kills, 4 blocks) and Wilkerson (2 aces) leading the charge.

The third win of the day came in a 26-24, 25-22 victory over Noblesville.

Mullen (10 kills, 4 blocks), Wilkerson (3 kills, 3 blocks), Urycki (3 kills, 3 blocks), Zimmerman (3 kills, 4 blocks) and Jack Tilden (2 blocks) spearheaded the win.

In the finals, the Trojans fell 25-17, 25-15 to No. 1 Indianapolis Cathedral as Raffin (3 blocks, 3 aces), Mullen (4 kills), Urycki (3 kills) and Wilkerson (2 kills) led the way.

Chesterton returns to the court on May 12 when they host the Regional beginning at 10 a.m. against Beech Grove.
