Bobby Humphreys did all he could Friday night at LaPorte and finally the Chesterton offense came through in a 1-0 Duneland Athletic Conference victory.

In the seventh, the Trojans got a leadoff walk by Jeremy Jaeger, who was replaced by pinch-runner Alex Rochowiak. Kevin Jones’ sacrifice bunt moved Rochowiak to second and he moved again to third on a ground out by Josh Jaeger.

Rochowiak scored on a passed ball for the game’s only run.

In the bottom of the seventh, Humphreys (2 K’s, 1 BB) allowed just a two-out single. Only one LaPorte runner reached second base the entire game.
