Girls Soccer announces award winners

The CHS girls soccer team announced its fall sports awards winners at its banquet last week.

The MVP award went to Sydney Stott, while Addy Joiner was named Offensive MVP and Carley Balas was named Defensive MVP.

Other award winners included Emma Vetroczky (Most Improved), Alaina South (Mental Attitude), Ali Drewes (Sportsmanship) and Abbey Wilcox (Kate Pokorney Spirit Award).

Letterwinners for the Trojans included seniors Megan Benzer, Sophia DeRuntz, Drewes, Nikki Groceman, Joiner, Kate Nevers, South, Stott and Wilcox, along with juniors Balas, Annalisa Hackett, Molly Hadenfelt, Kaitlyn Kogl, Emma Pape and Emily Richardson.

Sophomore letterwinners were Grace Bamber, Gina Geenen, Brianna Hardstock, Ingrid Hurst, Olivia Montes, Adie Schneider and Vetroczky. Freshmen letterwinners were Addysun Arndt, Ella Keane, Tia Seerup and Olivia Virgil.

Junior Varsity awards went to Ally Balcerak (9), Ada Brandstetter (11), Melissa Cook (9), Hannah Crews (9), Madison Davis (11), Abigail Dennington (9), Meghan Haggerty (10), Rossi Lopez (10), Kassidy Miller (9), Lilly Sensibaugh (10), Emma Skalka (9), Grace Sutton (10) and Maxie Wallen (10).

Joiner, Kogl and South served as captain during the 2020 season for the Trojans.
