Girls Lacrosse pickup games begin tonight

Back To Front Page

Women and girls age 12 and older who are interested in learning and playing girls lacrosse are invited to Wednesday night pick-up games this summer at 6 p.m. at Liberty Intermediate School, starting this Wednesday, June 20.

Informal instruction will be available from 6-6:30 p.m. with a casual scrimmage played from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Scrimmage and instruction are free, no advance registration is necessary, just show up.

This is a great opportunity to learn about girls lacrosse, or to brush up on your skills, and meet other area players in a relaxed environment. Beginners to advanced players are welcome. Players can come to one or all games throughout the summer.

Players need to bring a lacrosse stick, mouthguard, eye protection and water bottle. A limited number of sticks, mouthguards, and extra eye protection will be available for those who are new to the sport. Goalie equipment and sticks will be provided for goalies.

There will be no scrimmage or instruction on July 4.
