Evan Snowdin headed for Motocross Championship

Back To Front Page

Evan Snowdin, son of Jeremy and Sarah Snowdin, a local resident and a junior at Chesterton High School, has qualified for the Monster Energy AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship.

The event will be held at Loretta Lynn's ranch in Tennessee. Evan started this journey at an extremely early age, even before he could ride a bike he had a 50cc motorcycle with training wheels. He qualified on his KTM 250cc dirt bike for the 250c class at the Ironman Raceway for the Mid East Regional Championship.

This is every racerís dream--to make it to Loretta Lynn's ranch. To get ready for the biggest race of his life he has been circuit training, mountain biking and practicing on his dirt bike, all in this hot, humid weather, to get acclimated for the race since it will be well into the 100's, and with all his gear on thatís very grueling.

The event will be live streaming on MX sports and RacerTV to see the races, from August 3-8.
