For the second times in three years, the Chesterton boys soccer team has the State’s top player.

Trojan senior Jack Eaton was named Indiana Mr. Soccer (Player of the Year) by the Indiana Soccer Coaches Association (ISCA) earlier this month.

Owen Hallas earned the honor in 2016.

Eaton, primarily a defender, finished with seven goals and an assist in leading the Trojans to the school’s first-ever State Championship and a 21-0-2 record.

Eaton, who will play soccer collegiately at Valparaiso University, was named first team All-District and first team All-State.

Also garnering honors for the Trojans were Seth Conway who was a first team All-District and honorable mention All-State selection and Charlie Eaton was named second team All-District.

Conway finished the year with 18 goals and eight assists, while Eaton had 61 saves and allowed just 11 goals all year.
