CHS Volleyball wins at Lowell

The Chesterton volleyball continued its winning ways with a 25-15, 25-10, 26-24 victory at Lowell on Thursday.

Offensively, Meghan Gaffigan led the way with 17 kills, while Katie Nelson added six kills. Emma Ekblaw and Ella Rodriguez each tallied five kills.

Maggie Vrahoretis dished out a team-high 29 assists.

Defensively, Nelson led the way with 18 digs, while Greta Tilden (12) and Eva Everett (11) also reached double figures. Gaffigan and Vrahoretis each added nine digs in the win.

At the net, Rodriguez had seven blocks with Gaffigan adding six blocks. Reese Czarnieki and Ekblaw each had four blocks.

On the service line, Gaffigan and Vrahoretis each added two aces.

The Trojans return to the court on Monday when they travel to Andrean for a 5 p.m. JV start.
