CHS Volleyball falls in Sectional Semis

The Chesterton volleyball team saw its season come to an end with a 25-19, 25-20, 25-19 loss to Portage in the semifinals of the IHSAA Valparaiso Sectional on Saturday.

Offensively, Kristin Stillman led the Trojans with seven kills, while Maggie Vrahoretis and Paige Seely added four kills each. Kylie Vendramin tallied three kills with Taylor Bowser and Ginger Hedrick adding two kills each.

Olivia Smilgius and Ella Whitmore dished out a team-best six assists each.

Defensively, Lorann Lombardini led the way with nine digs, while Bowser and Sammy Devereaux added eight digs each. Stillman had six kills with Whitmore and Vrahoretis tallying four kills apiece.

The Trojans finished the season 12-20 overall.
