CHS Volleyball beats Hobart in 3 games

The CHS volleyball team improved to 12-7 on the year with a 25-22, 25-20, 28-26 victory at Hobart on Monday night.

Offensively, Aubrey Nagdeman led the way for the Trojans with nine kills, while Jessica Urycki and Sammi Ostrom each had six kills. Sara Tarnowski and Emily Marcus both had four kills.

Shelby Snyder dished out 15 assists in the win with Kennedy Baltus adding 12 helpers. Snyder and Jordyn Moleski both had four service aces.

Defensively, Moleski had a team-best 12 digs with Marcus adding 10. Tarnowski had nine digs and Snyder tallied eight.

At the net, Urycki had three block kills and Nagdeman added two block kills.

Chesterton 25-25-28, Hobart 22-20-26

Junior Varsity

Chesterton 25-25, Hobart 19-20

The Chesterton junior varsity beat Hobart 25-19, 25-20 on Monday.

Offensively, Abby Moon had four kills to lead the Trojans, while Kaitlin Kuypers tallied three kills. Haley Notzen had two kills and Alaina Kogler had one kill.

Caitlyn Toth had seven assists, while Kuypers tallied five service aces.

Moon led the defense with seven digs and Lia Lombardini had six digs. Toth added five digs with Kuypers tallying four digs.


Chesterton 25-25, Hobart 13-23

The Chesterton freshman volleyball team beat Hobart 25-13, 25-23 on Monday.

Offensively, Taylor Cruz, Hayley McBride and Morgan Fulayter all had two kills. Hannah Mix also recorded a kill.

Mix led the team from the service line with six aces.
