The Chesterton girls tennis team improved to 6-2 on the season with a 5-0
shutout victory at South Bend Clay on Monday.
“This was a great effort by the girls to sweep a win over South Bend Clay,”
Chesterton coach Gretchen Shinn said.
The Trojans dominated singles play with Bobbi Modesto winning 6-0, 6-0 at
No. 1 over Samantha Lukas, while Margaret Shinn (No. 2) beat Allyson
Tobalski and J.J. Lee (No. 3) beat Destiny Reives by identical 6-0, 6-2
scores.
In doubles, Sunny Lee and Rachel McCrum beat Bridget Hickey and Sara
Lindquist 7-5, 6-2 at No. 1 following a win for Amanda Susnak and Brittny
Stephan over Lynsie Roygaert and Amalie Zarp 6-1, 6-0.

In singles, winners were Caroline Puntillo, Taryn Trusty and Megan Homme.
In doubles, the combinations of Katie Sikora-Molly McCoy, Rana Torabi-Maria
Burelli, Julia Ingram-Cassidy Peretin, Michelle Sikora-Lauren Bailey, Molly
McCoy-Taryn Trusty, Caroline Puntillo-Claire Raffin and Katie Sikora-Michelle
Sikora all were victorious.
