The CHS boys
lacrosse team split a pair of games over the weekend in Ft. Wayne.
In the opener,
Chesterton trailed 4-0 at halftime against Homestead, before rallying, but
falling short in a 6-5 loss.
Scoring for the
Trojans were Trey Beeler, Mason Witt, Dane Stanley, Miles McCready and Sam
Westergren.
Defensively, Grant
Gilbertson led the team in takeaways with five, while also snatching up
three ground balls. Also picking up ground balls were Blake Ellenwood (5)
and Stanley (5).
In the second game
of the day, Chesterton shut out Concord 17-0.
Scoring for
Chesterton were Witt (4), Beeler (3), McCready (3), Zac Smith 92), Seppe
Ricciardi (2), Ellenwood (1), Stanley (1) and Westergren (1).
Jack Masten won six
faceoffs duing the victory and Nico Kittredge won five faceoffs.
