CHS Gymnasts beat Michigan City

The No. 1 ranked Chesterton gymnastics team continued its winning ways with a 111.625-89.675 Duneland Athletic Conference victory at Michigan City on Tuesday.

Mia Pak won three individual events for the Trojans including Vault (9.55), Bars (9.825) and Floor (9.55). Pak also won the All-Around (36.475).

Sophie Hunzelman was the other event winner for CHS with a 9.80 on Beam. Hunzelman finished runner-up on Bars (9.65) and Floor (9.35).

Belle Marchetti picked a second place finish on the Vault (9.40) and Caitlyn Cook was runner-up in the All-Around (35.55).

The Trojans return to competition on Saturday when they host the CHS Invitational beginning at 11 a.m.
