School grad Cole Teal had helped lead Williams College to the NCAA D3 Final
Four in Salem, VA.
The Ephs beat
Middlebury (Vermont) 79-75 in the Sectional Final after the teams had split
during the regular season. Teal hit four 3ís in the victory and was the
defensive stopper against NESCAC Player of the Year Matt St. Amour after
holding him to 1-for-9 from 3-point range in the game.
Teal, a starting
shooting guard, is averaging 9.7 points per game and leads the team from
3-point range (39.2 percent). The sophomore has hit 60 triples on the
Williams will play
Augustana (IL) at 6:30 p.m. tonight in the national semifinals. The other
semifinals features top-seeded Whitman against No. 3 Babson.
