The Chesterton boys golf team split against Michigan City and Merrillville at Michigan City Municipal on Thursday afternoon.

City shot a 158-team score to take top honors, while the Trojans fired a 162 and Merrillville shot 176.

Mike Marshall led Chesterton with a 37, while Austin Johnson and Brandon Martin each shot 40.

Toby O’Malley fired a 45 and Jay Crots rounded out the scoring with a 46.

Chesterton 172, Michigan City 210, Merrillville 266

Logan Krantz, Evan Zondor and Zach Von Huben all shot 42 for the Chesterton junior varsity as they beat Michigan City and Merrillville on Thursday.

Alex Slazas fired 46 and Zach Richey shot 50 for the Trojans.
