The Chesterton girls track team brought its indoor season to a close on
Tuesday at the DAC Indoor Meet at Portage.
The Trojans finished fifth as a team with 75 points. Merrillville won the
meet with 147.5, while Valparaiso (123.5), Portage (85.5) and Crown Point
(80) followed.
The top individual for the Trojans was Geena Tumidalsky with a runner-up
finish in the high jump (5-feet). CHS also finished second in the 4x200 with
the group of Anna Raffin, Jordyn Kincy, Katie Urycki and Claire Brady
(1:43.56) and the 4x800 with Rosie Biehl, Tori Schroeder, Josie Tolin and
Kristen Homme (10:16.90).
The 4x400 quartet of Brady, Kincy, Katie Haggerty and Autianna Peters was
third (4:17.85), while Urycki was fourth in the long jump (15-6) and Nora
Schultz in the 3,200 (12:54.70).
Alexis Malay was fifth in the pole vault (9-6) and Kelly Arlow was fifth in
the 3,200 (13:12.27).
