The Chesterton girls tennis team improved to 10-1 overall and 5-0 in
Duneland Athletic Conference play with a 5-0 sweep of Lake Central on
Friday.
In singles, Bobbi Modesto didn’t drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 1
against Bre Falcone. Meg Modesto lost just one game in a 6-0, 6-1 win at No.
2 against Angela Gerlach.
Sunny Lee completed the singles sweep with a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 3 against
Kate Toth.
In doubles, Margaret Shinn and J.J. Lee beat Anna Weber and Brittany
Warzyniak 6-2, 6-4 at No. 1, while Rachel McCrum and Amanda Susnak beat
Nicole Stanek and Vanessa Olson at No. 2 7-6 (7-5), 6-0.
