The Chesterton girls swim team continued to rely on its depth and picked up top honors in the Homestead Invitational on Saturday.

The Trojans amassed 614 points to outscore second place Homestead (507). Indianapolis North Central was third (495), followed by Yorktown (231) and Northridge (197).

Individual winner for Chesterton included Vanessa Krause’s meet record performance in the 100 Fly (56.52) and Julia Campbell’s win in the 200 Free (1:54.55).

Runner-up performances individually came from Krause in the 50 Free (24.52), Campbell in the 500 Free (5:03.90) and the 100 Back (58.86) and Kate Curley in the 100 Breast (1:09.82).

Chesterton also finished second in the 200 Free Relay with the group of Madisyn Coudriet, Meagan Curley, Kelly Craig and Campbell in 1:41.25, while the 400 Free Relay quartet of Krause, Campbell, Kate Curley and Craig also were second (3:35.15).

Third place finishes individually included Vanessa Krause in the 200 Free (1:57.73), Kate Curley in the 200 IM (2:09.98) and the 100 Free (54.72), Stephanie Krause in the 100 Back (1:01.82) and Kelly Craig in the 100 Breast (1:10.60).

The Trojans were also third in the 200 Medley Relay with the group of Stephanie Krause, Kate Curley, Vanessa Krause and Coudriet in 1:50.78.
