The Chesterton girls soccer team honored its nine seniors and rewarded them
with a 3-1 victory over Kankakee Valley on Senior Night Thursday.
The Trojans opened the scoring when Bridget Brendza got her head on a corner
kick by Nicki Kollar for a 1-0 lead. Kollar scored herself later to make the
score 2-0.
After a KV goal cut the lead in half, Sam Wilson set the final score on a
pass from Savannah Watson.
The Trojans are now 7-4-1 on the year and will host Highland on Saturday
with the junior varsity contest beginning at 10 a.m.
