The Chesterton girls soccer team dropped a 3-0 non-conference decision at South Bend St. Joseph on Thursday.

It was a great performance actually and the score doesnt fairly reflect the way the game went, Chesterton coach Ben Forgey said. We had as many clear cut chances as they did, unfortunately we didnt finish any of those and they did.

St. Joe built a 2-0 lead and set the final score with 20 minutes to go in the game with its finally tally.

Im very happy with the progress were making, Forgey said. Were learning things and working things out a bit. Were getting better performances both individually and as a team each time we hit the field.

The Trojans return to the field on Saturday night when they host Elkhart under the lights. The JV game is set for 5 p.m.
