The Chesterton girls soccer team had little trouble in racking up another Duneland Athletic Conference victory with an 8-0 win over Portage on Tuesday.

“It’s always pleasing when we get goals and assists from all over the place,” Chesterton coach Ben Forgey said. “We had seven different goal scorers and five players with assists. We got lots of players, lots of minutes.”

Trojan goals came from Addy Joiner (2), Ashlee Bakaitis, Olivia Hansen, Grace O’Dell, Sydney Stott, Sydney Balas and Annalisa Hackett.

“We uncharacteristically missed a few very good chances too,” Forgey said. “I'm fine with that though because we were creating chances. As long as we're creating chances, we will get goals.”

Assists came from Joiner (3), O’Dell (2), Novalei Lopez, Hansen and Molly Slatcoff.

Marney Sisson recorded two saves to earn the shutout.
