The Chesterton girls golf team opened Duneland Athletic Conference play with
an impressive 165-214 victory over LaPorte at Beechwood on Thursday.
Kelly Grassel led the way for the Trojans with an even-par 36, while Marissa
Kroeger followed with a 40. Nicole Dutz shot 42 with Taryn Trusty and Grace
Davis rounding out the scoring with a 47 each.
Chesterton returns to the course when they travel to Crown Point for a 4
p.m. tee time.
