CHS Girls Golf beats Highland 202-248

The Chesterton girls golf team improved to 6-6 on the season with a 202-248 victory over Highland Wednesday night at the Brassie.

Madison Simms led the Trojans with a 44, while Addison Gentry recorded a 51. Rounding out the scoring for CHS were Katelyn McCoy (52), Zoe Swanson (55) and Peyton Martinson (56).

Chesterton returns to the course on Saturday when they compete in the New Prairie Invitational. Tee time is 9 a.m.

Chesterton -- Madison Simms 44, Katelyn McCoy 52, Addison Gentry 51, Zoe Swanson 55, Peyton Martinson 56.

Highland -- Olivia Smith 56, Miyak Hinkel 54, Alexis Whitehead 68, Clarissa Koutz 72, Addy Hamstra 70.

Records: Chesterton 6-6, Highland 2-4.

Junior Varsity

Chesterton 247, Highland 254

The Chesterton junior varsity also won 247-254.

Scoring for the Trojans were Paige House (61), Bethany House (59), Bella Auricchio (68), Miranda Miller (67) and Lizzy Gray (60).
