CHS Girls Basketball falls at Mishawaka

Despite a 33-point performance from senior Caroline Puntillo, the Chesterton girls basketball team fell to 0-2 on the year following a 70-55 loss at Mishawaka on Saturday.

The Caveman jumped out to a 19-6 lead after one quarter and never looked back.

Puntillo hit on 13-of-18 shots from the field, including a 3-pointer, while adding a team-best six rebounds and a pair of assists.

Jocelyn Lipscomb scored 11 points for the Trojans with Sarah Richards (3), Kelsey Conway (2), Kassidy Scott (1), Jordan Wadding (2) and Natalie Petro (3) rounding out the scoring.

Junior Varsity

Mishawaka 33, Chesterton 24

The Chesterton junior varsity dropped a 33-24 decision at Mishawaka on Saturday.

Shannon McCoy led the Trojans with eight points, while Cammie Brown had six points. Megan Kerkes tallied four points.

Teresa Raffin (2), Sam Warren (2) and Morgan Skube (1) rounded out the scoring.
