CHS Football announces awards

The CHS football team announced its season award winners at its banquet on Sunday.

The Most Valuable Player Award went to Chris Mullen, who also was named the Mental Attitude Award winner. Other award winners included Christian Kurek (Most Improved) and Storm Pendleton (Sportsmanship).

The Jim Butz Award winner was Jackson Fleming, while Miguel Martinez was named Trojan Elite Award winner and Mitch McElfresh was given the Coaches Award.

Offensively, award winners were Jackson Westmoreland (Outstanding Receiver), Martinez (Offensive Lineman) and Colby Bullock (Offensive Back).

Defensively, Gage DeMarco was the teamís leading tackler and also Outstanding Linebacker. Jackson Fleming (Outstanding Defensive Lineman) and Dane Snemis (Outstanding Defensive Back) also won awards.

Jackson Syren was named the Special Teams Player of the Year.

Letterwinners for the Trojans included seniors Dylan Boland, Brandon Bolin, Barrett Church, Steven Cunningham, Kody Farrington, Jackson Fleming, Stefan Harris Jr., Christian Kurek, Josh Lawless, Miguel Martinez, Mitch McElfresh, Patrick McLaughlin, Logan Moore, Storm Pendleton, Juan Ponce, William Rinker and Jackson Syren.

Junior letterwinners were Lloyd Anderson, Michael Buckland, Colby Bullock, Jacob Burke, Maverick Burkhart, Ben Callaway, Dean Cantu, Jonathan Casey, Byron Chandler, Alex Cotton, Gage DeMarco, Evan Dickinson, Kaleb Dilts, Anthony Dowing, Brian Hansen, Devon Hollifield, Jordan Hughes, Josh Lemon, Marcellus Maddox, Matt McCracken, Chris Mullen, Will Osafo, Ethan Pickering, Duke Schaller, Connor Shudick, Dane Snemis, Luke Stento, Jackson Westmoreland and Brant Westphal.

Letterwinners in the sophomore class included Victor Cerda, Zach Coursel, John Fleming, Isaiah Fowler, Danny Goveia, Andrew Gross, Nick Jones, Connor Katsafaros, Matt Keane, Aiden Murff, Jorge Ortiz, Troy Perkins, tyler Peterson, Jacob Rutkowski, Devin Sain, Cole Smith, Sam St. Marie, Bryce Thomas, Ethan Troy, Aiden Weaver, Levi Wheeling, Keegan Wrigley and Deniro Zelenika.

Freshman team award winners were Logan Ackerson, Noah Bazil, Sebastian Boswell, Ethan Chasko, Masun Connaway, Rylind DeLaCruz, Hayden DeMarco, Maverick Dempsey, Logan Fair, Michael Farkas, Aslan Fenelon, Connor Hansen, Andrew Himan, Ryan Holder, Bruce Howe, Alex Hurlbert, Kory Kaszycki, Jonathan Landeros, Garrett Lewis, Devon Loney, Joseí McLemore, Bryson Moore, Nathan Nix, Brayden Replin, Owen Richardson, Daniel Rubalcava, Alex Rubino, Austin Rychwalski, Zach Samec, Sam Schlichting, Austin Skalka, Williams Smich, Brock Stephan, Cooper Watkins, Griffin Watkins and Michael Zielinski.
