CHS Boys win Regional Bowling title

The Chesterton High School boys bowling team won the Indiana High School Bowling (IHSB) Regional Championship at Heritage Lanes in Kokomo on Saturday.

In the team event, Chesterton qualified as the No. 1 seed and beat Warsaw 389-387 in the finals. They will compete in the IHSB Semistate on Saturday at Mike Aulby’s Arrowhead Bowl in Lafayette at 1 p.m.

On the girls side, Alyssa McCall qualified as the No. 4 seed. McCall dropped her opener to eventual Regional champ Alyssa Foster of LaPorte 160-157.

Other Chesterton bowlers competing in the Regional included Heather Waters (8th), Ethan Achten (8th) and Jimmy Hampton (9th).

Chesterton High School and Middle School bowling is hosted by Inman’s Family Fun Center in Valparaiso.
