CHS Boys Volleyball wins St. Patrick Classic

The Chesterton boys volleyball team went 4-0 over the weekend to win the St. Patrick’s Classic and improve to 6-3 on the year.

The Trojans picked up victories over Indianapolis North Central, Indianapolis Brebeuf, Hamilton Southeastern, Kouts and Bishop Noll (twice) during the season.

All three CHS losses are to teams currently ranked in the top five of the state rankings (Indianapolis Cathedral, Fishers, Carmel).

Leading the Trojans in kills is Nick Mullen (42), followed by Kody Wilkerson (25), Andrew Urycki (22), Jack Tilden (17) and Drew Vanderwoude (16).

On the service line, the Trojans are led by Ben Raffin with 16 aces, while Andrew Zimmerman and Henry Weinberg each have added seven aces.

Chesterton returns to the court on April 7 when they head to the Noblesville Invitational.
