Last Friday night, the Chesterton boys volleyball team hosted a tri-match against Indianapolis Brebeuf and No. 1 Hebron.

Chesterton defeated Brebeuf with aggressive serving and steady defense 25-15, 25-18 in the opener, but fell to Hebron 25-14, 25-13.

Offensively, Chesterton was led by Kevin Fekete (11 kills, 7 digs, 1 ace), Kai Cromwell (6 kills, 12 assists, 3 aces, 2 blocks), Emilier DeJesus (5 kills, 16 digs, 4 aces) and Andrew Balon (4 kills, 6 blocks, 4 digs).

Also contributing were Nick Raffin (3 kills, 7 digs, 3 blocks), Joe Bishop (2 kills, 1 block) and Dominic Raffin (2 digs).

The No. 8 ranking for Chesterton is the highest to date and comes in only the third year of the program.

Chesterton is again hosting No. 1 Hebron and Ft. Wayne in a tri-match this Saturday, April 13 at 3 p.m. Chesterton will play at 4 p.m. against Ft. Wayne and at 5 p.m. against No. 1 Hebron.

All Duneland students (K-12) are admitted free of charge.
