The Chesterton boys track team split a Duneland Athletic Conference double dual on Tuesday night at Portage High School.

The Trojans beat Merrillville 76-56, but fell to the host Indians 76-56.

Kody Galloway was the top performer for Chesterton with a pair of individual victories. Galloway won the high jump at 6-2, while also winning the long jump at 21-3 1. Dan Dellumo won the shot put for the Trojans with a throw of 57-4 1.

CHS continued to dominate the pole vault with a 1-2 finish from Justin Zosso and Peter Fouts. Both cleared 13-6.

Other second place finishers for the Trojans included Tyler Rusboldt in the 1600 (4:48.9) and Austin Palombizio in the 800 (2:07.66).

Third place finishers were Dellumo (discus, 136-4), Joe Troop (long jump, 19-9 1; 200, 22.78), Sean Matheny (shot put, 48-2), Richie Ruff (110 hurdles, 15.78), Manny Orlich (1600, 4:54.1; 800, 2:08.44) and Jon Watson (400, 53.73).
