CHS boys tennis team beats Crown Point

The Chesterton boys tennis team improved to 2-0 in Duneland Athletic Conference play with a 4-1 victory at Crown Point on Wednesday.

In singles, the Trojans had little trouble beginning with Fabio Haiducís 6-1, 6-0 victory over Jackson Paulowski at No. 1.

Drake Redman followed with a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 2 over Seth Gozo, while Troy Feller finished the singles sweep with a 6-2, 7-5 victory at No. 3 against Griffin Dussedy.

In doubles, the lone win for the Trojans came at No. 2 as John Petro and Davis Archbald outlasted Holdin Paskis and Logan Culver 6-4, 5-7, 6-4.

Chesterton returns to the court on Thursday when they host Valparaiso beginning at 4:30 p.m.

Junior Varsity

Crown Point 7, Chesterton 3

The Chesterton junior varsity dropped a 7-3 decision to Crown Point on Wednesday.

Singles winners for the Trojans included Danny Vear at No. 1 and Connor Potesta at No. 2.

In doubles, the lone winners for CHS were the No. 2 team of Cole Snyder and Gavin Rivera.
