The Chesterton boys tennis team blanked Hobart 5-0 on Monday night.

The Trojans got three-set singles victories from Mike Clemens at No. 1 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 over Bobby Eberle and Trey Moffett at No. 2 2-6, 6-1, 6-4 over Hunter McCollum. The other singles victory came at No. 3 when Zac Nabhan beat Sam Wagman 6-1, 6-0.

In doubles, the duo of Ryan Sears and Conner Kuhnle beat Marshall Sharpe and Mike Bachmann 6-2, 6-3 at No. 1, while Christian O’Brien and Brent Sergent beat Jake Tosch and Robbie Wiesinewski 6-3, 7-5.

The Trojans finished the regular season 7-8 overall and will face off against Valparaiso on Wednesday in the IHSAA Portage Sectional beginning at 4:15 p.m.
