CHS Boys Tennis beats Lowell

The Chesterton boys tennis team picked up a 5-0 non-conference victory over Lowell on Monday night.

In singles, Fabio Haiduc had little trouble in a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Landon Krambeck at No. 1, while Drake Redman cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 2 over Scotty Griggs. Troy Feller completed the singles sweep with a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 3 over Josh Ovenger.

In doubles, John Powell and Brock Redman beat Sabastian DeWitt and Jasper Hochbaum 6-2, 6-4 at No. 1. John Petro and David Archbald finished the match with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Ron Grjczewski and Jacob Brouer at No. 2.

The Trojans finish Duneland Athletic Conference play tonight when they host Lake Central beginning at 4:15 p.m.

Doubles -- 1. John Powell/Brock Redman (C) def. Sabastian DeWitt/Jasper Hochbaum 6-2, 6-4; 2. John Petro/David Archbald (C) def. Ron Grjczewski/Jacob Brouer 6-1, 6-1.

Record: Chesterton 11-1 (6-0 DAC).
