The Chesterton boys tennis team swept singles play and had little trouble in
picking up a season-opening 4-1 victory over Highland on Tuesday.
Mike Clemens started the sweep in singles with a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 1 over
Jeff Michner. Trey Moffett won at No. 2 singles over Andy Campos 6-2, 6-0,
while Ryan Sears didn’t drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Brett Sabo at
No. 3.
In doubles, Remy Hoang and Brett Sergent beat Luke Turoci and Ben Wood 6-3,
6-0 at No. 2.
The Trojans return to action on Saturday when they host South Bend St.
Joseph’s at 10 a.m.
