The Chesterton varsity boys tennis team finished third overall in the 8-team
Highland Doubles Invitational on Saturday.
At No. 1 doubles, Mike Clemens and Trey Moffett finished 2-1 on the day
falling in the championship match to Crown Point. The duo picked up
victories over Lowell and Highland.
At No. 2 doubles, Ryan Sears and Zac Nabhan finished fourth with a 1-2
record. The Trojan duo beat Highland,
At No. 3 doubles, Remy Hoang and Brent Sergent were second overall. The
Trojans beat Michigan City and Highland before falling to Portage in the
finals.
At No. 4 doubles, Christian O’Brien and Tom McGue finished third. With
victories over Lowell and Michigan City, the duo finished 1-2 on the day.
The Trojans’ junior varsity team participated in the 8-team Plymouth
Invitational on Saturday.
Conner Kunhle won the No. 1 singles flight with a 3-0 record. Brady Wade
finished second in the No. 2 singles flight after going 2-1 and Dylan
Jayasuiraya was second at No. 3 singles.
