Hallas took a pass from Bailey Arthur with just five seconds left in the
second overtime session to give Chesterton a 2-1 victory in its regular
season finale at LaPorte on Wednesday.
scored the first Trojan goal off an assist from Hallas.
“We had a lot of
opportunities in front of the goal,” Chesterton coach Jamie Sensibaugh said.
“Their goalie is really big and he made a lot of great saves.”
finished the regular season 10-3-2 overall and will play Portage next
Wednesday in the IHSAA Valparaiso Sectional.
“I’m very happy
with the regular season we had,” Sensibaugh said. “Realistically that’s a
good year for us with all the injuries and the schedule we played. Hopefully
it pays off starting next week.”
