The Chesterton boys soccer team finished the regular season with a 5-0
Duneland Athletic Conference victory at LaPorte.
"Another great team effort tonight against a very good LaPorte team playing
at home on Senior Night,” Chesterton coach Jamie Sensibaugh said. “This win
locks us into second place in the DAC.”
Colin Ringas opened the scoring in the first half to put the Trojans on top
1-0 at halftime. Billy Biehl took a pass from Jonathan Blake just two
minutes into the second half to increase the lead to 2-0.
Chesterton put the final touches on the game with three goals in the final
eight minutes as Kody Lobsiger, Jared O’Dell and Ringas all scoring.
“We seem to be peaking at the right time and heading in the correct
direction in all phases of the game,” Sensibaugh said. “We look forward to
the post-season and our first game Wednesday night against Valparaiso.”
