CHS Boys Soccer wins Northwestern Tourney

The Chesterton boys soccer team had little trouble in picking up a pair of victories in the Northwestern Invitational on Saturday.

The Trojans beat the host, Northwestern, 7-0 to start the day and finished it with an 11-0 whitewash of Ft. Wayne Carroll.

Against Northwestern, Seth Conway scored three goals, while Zack Bowser added two. Kaden Donnella and Thomas Gutierrez also tallied goals in the win.

Bowser had three assists in the victory with Conway (2) and Nick Biel also dishing out helpers.

Charlie Eaton and Peter Girzadas (5 saves) combined in goal for the shutout.

Against Ft. Wayne Carroll, Bowser scored four goals and Conway had three. Robbie Capehart, Soren Vagenius, Nick Sierra and Gutierrez all added a tally in the victory.

Vagenius dished out four assists, while Conway, Donnella and Liam Grimes all added helpers.

The Trojans didnít allow a shot on goal against Carroll and havenít allowed a goal yet this season.

Chesterton returns to the field on Wednesday when they travel to Valparaiso to take on the Vikings. The JV game is slated for a 5 p.m. start.

Chesterton -- Seth Conway 3 goals, 2 assists; Zack Bowser 2 goals, 3 assists; Kaden Donnella 1 goal; Thomas Gutierrez 1 goal; Nick Biel 1 assist; Peter Girzadas 5 saves.

Record: Chesterton 3-0.

Record: Chesterton 4-0.
