CHS Boys Soccer wins Duneland Conference title

The Chesterton boys soccer team wrapped up an undefeated outright Duneland Athletic Conference title with a 10-1 victory at LaPorte on Wednesday night.

Zack Bowser broke the school single-season goal record with three more to push his total to 31. Josh Wadowski also added two goals in the win.

Other goal scorers included Charlie Eaton, Matteo Guerrero, Tommy Oros, Ryan O’Dell and Hayden Stott.

Assists were dished out by Nick Biel (3) and O’Dell (2).

Eaton made three saves in goal, while Ethan Boedeker had one save.

Chesterton -- Charlie Eaton 1 goal, 3 saves; Matteo Guerrero 1 goal; Zack Bowser 3 goals; Tommy Oros 1 goal; Nick Biel 3 assists; Ryan O’Dell 1 goal, 2 assists; Josh Wadowski 2 goals; Hayden Stott 1 goal.

Record: Chesterton 14-2 (7-0 DAC).

Junior Varsity

Chesterton 2, LaPorte 0

The CHS boys JV soccer team defeated LaPorte 2-0 on Wednesday to improve to 11-1-2 overall and 5-0-2 in the DAC.

Danny Serianni and Carlos Cano scored for Chesterton, while Josh Pearson and Serianni provided assists.

Christian Kelly recorded the shutout in goal.
