The Chesterton boys soccer team picked up a 4-0 shutout victory over Hobart on Monday night.

“I was proud of the effort we put out on the field tonight,” Chesterton coach Jamie Sensibaugh said.

The Trojans scored twice in the first half and twice more in the second as Harley Lohmeyer, Robbie Capehart, Caleb Haire and Logan Stewart all tallied goals.

Lohmeyer and Seth Conway each recorded an assist.

“We wanted to establish some chemistry with players in different positions,” Sensibaugh said. “The entire bench got in and that’s always nice. It was nice to get some people in and see some of our future Trojans out there in a varsity game.”

Doug Filipek had one save and Nick Harman tallied three saves in the win.

Chesterton returns to the field on Wednesday when they host LaPorte. The JV game is set for a 5 p.m start.
