The Chesterton boys soccer team sent its senior class out on a high note on
Monday. The Trojans dominated play and cruised to a 7-0 victory over Hobart.
“I’m very proud of the commitment these young men have made to our program,”
Chesterton coach Jamie Sensibaugh said of his 16-man senior class. “Many of
them are excellent students and have served as fine examples both on and off
the field. We hope to honor them by playing and training hard with what is
left of our season and going as far as we can into the post season.”
The Trojans got two goals from Zach Froman in the victory, along with goals
by James Halpin, Sam Iatarola, Kody Lobsiger, Scott Chemma and Keith Radzik.
Cole Gordon dished out a pair of assists as Jonathan Blake, Colin Ringas,
Billy Biehl and Kyle Kogler all had an assist in the victory.
Fernando Zapeda recorded one save in the shutout victory.
Junior Varsity
Chesterton 7,
Hobart 0
The Chesterton junior varsity improved to 12-0-2 on the year with a 7-0
victory over Hobart on Monday.
Goals were scored by Trent Weller, David Mudd, Adam Whitlow, Niko Manojlovic,
David Oesten and Zack Kirchner.
Trevor Turner
had an assist, while Joey Dishman had a save.
