The Chesterton boys
basketball team improved to 3-1 on the season with an 80-53 victory at East
Chicago Central on Tuesday night.
The Trojans built a
23-13 lead through one quarter and pushed it to 42-30 at halftime and were
never challenged.
Travis Grayson led
CHS with 18 points, while Luke Lombardini (14 points) and Tyler Vanderwoude
(10 points) also scored in double figures.
Rounding out the
scoring for the Trojans were Sean Elliott (9 points), Chris Mullen (9
points), Justin Sims (6 points), Owen Guest (6 points), Carson Parrish (3
points), Charlie Eaton (3 points) and Landon Johnston (2 points).
Chesterton returns
to the court on Saturday night when they host Gary 21st Century.

junior varsity picked up a 60-44 victory over East Chicago Central.
Tyler Parrish led
the Trojans with 18 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, while Cole
Snyder and Jordan Hughes each added nine points.
Rounding out the
scoring were Nick Furmanek (6 points), Sean Kasper (6 points), Evan Smilgus
(6 points), K’Den Dade (5 points), George Vrahoretis (3 points) and Josh
Wadowski (3 points).
