CHS boys golf team wins twice

The Chesterton boys golf team racked up two more Duneland Athletic Conference victories at Sand Creek Country Club on Tuesday.

The Trojans shot a 166 team score to best Crown Point (171) and Portage (201).

Mitch Davis led CHS with a two-over-par 38, including six consecutive pars to finish his round.

Devin Trusty (40), Cameron Schultz (40), Sean Elliott (48) and Jackson Kerkes (53) rounded out the scoring for the Trojans.

Crown Pointís Yianni Kostouros took medalist honors with an even par 36.

Chesterton returns to the court on Friday when they travel to Lake Central to take on the Indians and Merrillville beginning at 4 p.m.

Crown Point -- Yianni Kostouros 36, Connor Proudman 42, Michael Pinchok 45, Bryant Callander 48, Finn Kiger 53.

The Chesterton junior varsity picked up a pair of wins on Tuesday at Sand Creek.

Jackson Roberts led the way with a 44, while Christian Hutnick (47), Beckham Mountford (49), Max Winski (49) and Sam Keane (61) rounded out the scoring.
