CHS Boys fall to Portage and Merrillville

The Chesterton boys track team won six events, but dropped a pair of Duneland Athletic Conference decisions to Portage (76-56) and Merrillville (73-59) on Tuesday.

Individually, the Trojans got victories from Archie Sullivan in the 400 (50.25), Billy Biehl in the 800 (1:58.29), Kevin Kenney in the 3200 (10:14.5) and Brett Lara in the pole vault (12-6).

In relays, Chesterton won the 4x400 with the quartet of Sullivan, Biehl, Tyler Vore and Kenney (3:28.54) and the 4x800 with the group of Biehl, Kenney, Vore and Parker Whitmore (8:47.86).
