The Chesterton boys
tennis team continued to battle the top teams in Indiana, but dropped a 3-2
decision to No. 24 Ft. Wayne Canterbury on Saturday.
“We recognized 11
seniors today and all of them have been with us throughout their entire high
school careers,” Chesterton coach Tom Bour said. “Each of them represent our
tennis program the proper way and, as coaches, we are very lucky to have
been able to coach these guys."
Both Trojan wins
came in singles as Fabio Haiduc beat Jai Kashyap 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2, while
Troy Feller beat Minir Agnibotri 6-3, 6-3 at No. 3.
The match was held
indoors at the Courts of Northwest Indiana due to the rain.
