The CHS boys cross
country team announced its fall sports awards winners at its banquet last
week.
The Most Valuable
Player awards went to Cole Dolson and Matthew Streeter, while other award
winners were Lucas Vinet (Most Improved), Josh Dennington (Mental Attitude),
Ethan Mohoi (Sportsmanship), Dolson (Most Consistent), Streeter (Leonard
Tengblad Award), Ian Rutherford (Larry James Award) and Frances Fox (Steve
Kearney ‘Stride On’ Award).
Letterwinners for
the Trojans included seniors Dennington, Fox, Sam Haughtington, Brendan Hoch,
Nathan Keel, Mohoi, Rutherford, Ryan Schlyer, Streeter, Vinet and Ethan
Wodrich. Junior letterwinners were Billy Clinkert, Dolson and Reece Erow.
Sophomore
letterwinners included Bobby Berger, Jackson Tuck and Josh Tuck, while
freshmen included Trevor Arlington, Evan O’Connor and Max Welbourne.
Junior Varsity
award winners were Drew Carpenter (10), Owen Daugherty (11), Hunter Ellis
(9), Vince Fox (9), Tyler Herzog (9), Ethan Kroft (11), Matthew Long (10),
David McGrogan (9), Brayden Mercier (9), William Nowicki (9), Owen
Rutherford (10), Preston Throw (9), AJ Tolin (10), Oliver Wilgocki (9) and
Gage Wimmer (9).
Dennington, Mohoi,
Ian Rutherford and Streeter served as captains for the Trojans during the
2020 season.
