Chesterton Volleyball falls to CP in 4 games

The Chesterton volleyball team dropped a tough 22-25, 25-15, 26-24, 25-22 Duneland Athletic Conference decision against Crown Point on Tuesday.

Offensively, Taylor Bowser led the way with 22 kills, while Sydney Baltus added seven kills. McKenna Guernsey and Maggie Vrahoretis each added five kills. Caroline Parks tallied four kills.

Vivi Smilgius dished out a team-best 37 assists.

On the service line, Lorann Lombardini had four aces and Guernsey added two more.

Defensively, Lombardini had 24 digs with Bowser adding 22 digs. Sammy Devereaux had 16 digs as Guernsey contributed 13 digs. Smilgius had 10 digs.

At the net, Smilgius had three blocks and Maddie Wagner had two blocks.

The Trojans return to the court on Thursday when they travel to Portage.
