The CHS boys
lacrosse team improved to 10-1 on the season with two more victories over
The Trojans opened
the weekend with a 13-1 victory over Munster as Mason Witt led the offense
with four goals.
Also scoring were
Trey Beeler (2 goals), Dane Stanley (2 goals), Sam Westergren (2 goals),
Seppe Ricciardi (2 goals) and Jonas Vagenius (1 goal).
The defense held
the Mustangs to just one goal and was led by Max Martin (4 takeaways),
Ricciardi (3 takeaways), Westergren (2 takeaways) and Andrew Waugaman (2
takeaways). Kyle Bucy recorded six saves in goal.
The Trojans also
picked up 70 ground balls led by Stanley (8 ground balls) and Westergren (8
ground balls). Martin added seven ground balls with Grant Gilbertson (6
ground balls), Ricciardi (4 ground balls) and Vagenius (4 ground balls) also
In the second game,
the Trojans beat University High School 18-4.
The offense scored
seven first quarter goals to set the tone led by Witt (6 goals) and Beeler
(6 goals). Zak Smith (2 goals), Ricciardi (2 goals), Westergren (1 goal) and
Stanley (1 goal) also contributed offensively.
dished out 13 assists led by Smith (4), Stanley (3) and Westergren (3).
Fulk had 11 takeaways with Martin (4) and Andrew Waugaman (2) helping out.
Bucy had 18 saves on the day.
The Trojans picked
up 69 ground balls led by Fulk (10), Martin (10), Ricciardi (8), Stanley
(8), Zak Smith (7) and Jake Dibble (6). Jack Masten recorded 10 faceoff wins
and Ricciardi added five.
