Chesterton Golf falls to Lake Central

The Chesterton boys golf team took its first loss of the season Thursday night at Michigan City Municipal falling 150-151 to Lake Central. The Trojans did pick up a victory over Michigan City (166).

Chesterton’s Kyle Grassel and LC’s Ronnie Prestamer took medalist honors with an even par 36. Josh Kalita and Ryan Grassel each fired 38’s for the Trojans. Steve Wuletich shot 39 and Nick Stasil rounded out the scoring with a 41.

The Trojans are now 10-1 overall and 7-1 in Duneland Athletic Conference play. They return to the course today when they travel to LaPorte for the Uebele Invitational. A shot gun start is set for 1 p.m.
