Chesterton girls basketball team falls at Knox

The Chesterton girls basketball team fell to 16-5 on the season with a 39-31 non-conference loss at Knox on Tuesday.

The Trojans fell behind 22-13 at the half and were unable to make the comeback.

Ashley Craycraft led CHS with 21 points, while Nalani Malackowski scored nine points. Lauren Davis scored one point in the loss.

The Trojans hit on just 11-of-43 shots (26 percent) from the floor and 7-of-26 (27 percent) from 3-point range.

Chesterton returns to the court on Friday for Senior night as they host Andrean. The JV game is scheduled for a 5:30 p.m. tipoff.

Junior Varsity

Chesterton 41, Knox 20

The Chesterton junior varsity returned to its winning ways with a 41-20 victory over Knox.

Liz Pokorney and Emily Richardson led the way for the Trojans with nine points each.

Rounding out the scoring were Abi Drew (8 points), Chloe Wisniewski (7 points), Amani Brown (2 points), Madison Davis (2 points), Adie Schneider (2 points) and Giana Raffin (2 points).
