Chesterton Boys Golf wins two more times

The Chesterton boys golf team improved to 10-1 in Duneland Athletic Conference play with a pair of victories against Lake Central and Merrillville at Sand Creek Country Club on Thursday.

Playing the Creek Course, the Trojans fired a 149-team score to beat the Indians (172) and Pirates (236).

Mitch Davis and Devin Trusty took medalist honors with one-under-par 35ís. Davis recorded a pair of birdies, while Trusty tallied a birdie and eagle.

Sean Elliott fired a 38 for the Trojans with Cameron Schultz (41) and Jackson Kerkes (42) rounding out the scoring.

Chesterton returns to the course today when they travel to the Uebele Invitational at Beechwood in LaPorte. Tee time is set for 1 p.m.

The Chesterton junior varsity dropped a 187-195 decision to Lake Central on Thursday.

Max Winski led the Trojans with a 45, followed by Jackson Roberts (48), John Powell (49), Christian Hutnick (53) and Payton Disney (54).
